Established training programs are in place to prepare technicians to advance into highly skilled positions in the ICU, emergency, and the specialties depending on their interests. These positions require some evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. The successful candidate will have at least one year of experience as a veterinary technician. Bay State Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Services is located in Swansea, MA. It is the sister hospital to Ocean State Veterinary Specialists (OSVS). BSVESS is a fully-equipped emergency hospital with a full time surgeon and internal medicine specialists four days a week as well. The hospital is well equipped with oxygen cages, ultrasound, digital radiography, endoscopy, blood bank and a full range of monitoring equipment. Swansea is located near the Mass/Rhode Island boarder, approximately 50 miles south of Boston and 40 miles west of Cape Cod.
