BSVESS is a 7500 sq ft building, with a very busy emergency service and specialists in internal medicine, and surgery. Emergency doctors work half of their time at BSVESS, and half of their time at our sister hospital, Ocean State Veterinary Specialists, where they have the opportunity to work with a large group of specialists and be involved in intern training.
We are located in Swansea, MA, less than 10 miles from Providence, RI and less than 50 miles from Boston and Cape Cod. We offer a generous compensation and benefits package, with opportunity for production based earnings and rewards for longevity with the company. There is extensive in-house continuing education, and we support annual education at national conferences. The strong internship and residency programs create a constant learning environment.

About Bay State Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Services
Bay State Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Services is located in Swansea, MA. It is the sister hospital to Ocean State Veterinary Specialists (OSVS). BSVESS is primarily an emergency clinic, but there is a full time surgeon and internal medicine specialists four days a week as well. The hospital is well equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, endoscopy, and a full range of monitoring equipment. Swansea is located near the Mass/Rhode Island boarder, approximately 50 miles south of Boston and 40 miles west of Cape Cod. The emergency doctors and internists at BSVESS work half time at OSVS, benefiting from the large group of specialists and didactic activities there.
