We are looking for a full time associate to take us from two doctors to three doctors at a lovely, established, small animal practice, in Oakdale, California--a small town nestled in the foothills of the Sierras. We believe in having the best of both worlds: we practice high quality, modern veterinary care, in a gorgeous new facility, with ultrasound, digital radiographs, dental radiographs, in-house lab, electronic medical records and excellent, nearby referral options, in a smaller size, small town practice where were you get to know your clients and patients well. We see some exotics and backyard chickens. You can too if you are interested. We work closely with our local shelter, including doing their spay and neuter. We believe that work life balance is an essential part of being an excellent clinician and offer a four day work week, with 1-2 Saturday mornings a month, and no on-call. The staff here are highly leveraged and capable of working independently: they draw blood, place catheters, present estimates and generally ensure that doctors can concentrate on doing their job. We are looking for an associate with a strong interest in surgery and dentistry, who is an excellent communicator with both staff and clients. Interest in exotics is encouraged, but not mandatory. The right new grad will be considered. Must have a California license or the ability to get one promptly. If you are interested, take a look at our website, www.OakdaleVet.com, then send us a cover letter, resume and salary requirements. We offer health insurance, paid time off, a CE allowance, coverage for local and national professional memberships, VIN membership, and DEA registration.
