Saybrook Veterinary Hospital is look to add a full time veterinarian (3/4 time would be considered) to our growing practice. We hope to start construction on a new building by fall 2019. Saybrook Veterinary Hospital is a privately owned small animal hospital that was established in 1947. It is the oldest veterinary hospital in the area.
We will consider an experienced veterinarian or a new graduate and offer comradeship and mentorship. We work as a team and regularly discuss cases and help each other with each other out with medical and surgical procedures. We have all the usual bells and whistles (digital radiography, idexx laboratory equipment yada, yada, yada....) and more once we build the new building. We have a great support staff that are well trained and also work as a team. We are looking for a long termed, committed veterinarian. We do work hard but respect the need for relaxation and time away from work. There will be a need to work some 1/2 day Saturdays and occasionally weekend patient care but there is no on-call or after hours emergencies. We have 2 large referral/emergency practices close by and send patients to them frequently. We have an affluent clientele and get the opportunity to work up complex medical and surgical cases. We see mostly dogs and cats but do see small mammals and would support someone who wanted to expand our exotic clientele.
