Part-time veterinary technician needed for busy 2 doctor practice. Practice is small animal exclusive and equipped with digital x-ray. in-house lab equipment, dental x-ray and cornerstone software.
Positive attitude and good work ethic are a must. Ability to work both independently and with a team required. We expect our staff to be versatile and help in what ever areas are needed. Our veterinary technicians assist both in the technician, receptionist, and kennel areas and duties are as follows:
Receptionist: Duties include: Appointment scheduling, client Communication, client education, checking In/Out of patients and handling of payments, answering and directing phone calls, filing, computer data input, and other receptionist duties.
Kennel Assistant: Duties include: Animal care such as walking pets on a routine schedule, feeding, bathing, nail clipping, anal gland expression, brushing, and ear cleaning. Monitoring health and condition of animals such as, obtaining and recording, weight, appetite, activities, and other animal attendant duties. Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
Vet Assistant/Technician: Duties include: Drawing blood, administering vaccines and medications, placing IV catheters, restraining patients, radiology, surgery prep, pharmacy, cleaning cages, feeding and medicating boarding and hospitalized patients, maintaining a clean and organized treatment area and hospital, and other nursing duties.

Certified veterinary technician preferred but not required. Previous work in a veterinary environment required.
