Howard Beach Animal Clinic is located in Queens, New York 25 minutes outside Manhattan.  Our mission is to provide excellent and compassionate veterinary care, while maintaining outstanding client communication.   Our loyal clients are like part of the family, many frequenting our full-service veterinary hospital since its inception in 1981.  We currently have six staff veterinarians with a large client base and an experienced support staff.  We are looking for a candidate that will enjoy collaborating with colleagues, improving their skill set, and be a part of our growing business.

Salary $90,000-$110.000, will commensurate with experience.

ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

• State of the art animal hospital. Digital record keeping.

• Impromed Infinity practice management software

• Digital radiology

•  In house ultrasound machine

• In-house laboratory

• Ultra-sonic dental equipment

• Complete in house pharmacy and relationship with referral pharmacies for compounding or other needs

Job Responsibilities

• Full-time position available, part-time position considered
• Perform physical examinations
• Ability to perform diagnostic procedures
• Surgical skills preferable
• Communicate and develop client relationship
• Compassion for animals

   

Skills and Basic Qualifications

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university. 

• NYS License in good standing.

• Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics.

• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Works collaboratively with hospital team members.

• Makes decisions confidently and effectively.

• Manages time and tasks appropriately.

• Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth.
