We are looking for a licensed technician to assist with veterinary procedures and daily practice operation. The technician will be responsible for handling horses, managing inventory, ordering supplies, keeping records, client communication, cleaning the clinic and barn areas, completing coggins/health certificates/brand inspections, and sometimes answering the phone during business hours. At this time we see appointments Monday through Friday from approximately 8:30 to approximately 5, sometimes days go long due to emergencies.
Computer skills (we use Advantage software a plus), ability to multi task, excellent communication skills, organized, team player, customer service skills, ability to work in a fast paced environment
Must have lots of horse experience and very good handling/restraining skills, you will be asked to manage clients horses during lameness exams (jogging in hand and longing), procedures, and breeding
New grads or applicants with minimal experience will be considered if they are confident in their ability to handle horses

This is a well established equine only practiced that has served the Olympia area for 14 years. It is a single doctor practice, the veterinarian owns the practice and has worked with the same office manager since the practice was started. We are fully equipped with digital xray and ultrasound as well as endoscopy. We have an excellent client base made up of all types of horses. There is an emphasi...s on lameness and rehabilitation. We also do dentistry, reproduction, internal medicine, and some emergency work. We focus on customer service and excellent care.
