Mt. Nittany Veterinary Hospital is a small practice, located in the central Pennsylvania mountains in State College, very close to Penn State University. We enjoy a “small town” setting with little traffic and almost unlimited outdoor activities in a scenic environment, yet still enjoy the culture and many events and activities associated with living in a college town.
Mt. Nittany Veterinary Hospital employs two full time veterinarians, a part time veterinarian, and a support staff of approximately 20 team members. Our hospital houses our veterinary practice, as well as space for grooming, boarding, and a small pet store (primarily pet food). The hospital was remodeled in the winter of 2011, and we are equipped with a complete IDEXX in-house laboratory, digital radiography and ultrasound. We also operate a small satellite outpatient practice, the Mt. Nittany Veterinary Clinic in Philipsburg, PA, approximately 20 miles from our primary location. Our practices utilize AVImark practice management software, and function “paper-lite” as much as possible. The Mt. Nittany Veterinary Hospital is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm, Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday morning from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and the Mt. Nittany Veterinary Clinic is open Monday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, Tuesday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, Thursday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
