Testimonial from one of our ER clinicians:
“The work life balance while working at VECC has been superb. Burn out, compassion fatigue, long hours, and feeling unappreciated can be unfortunate parts of veterinary medicine; however, VECC offers an outstanding schedule to mitigate these quandaries.
VECC has an incredible support staff. I very quickly felt at home and comfortable here which is crucial in the face of emergency medicine. I continually feel at ease with any of my team members and trust them all immensely. They make the time fly by and help me stay grounded.
This is a learning environment without the pressure. There are specialties most days of the week to consult on cases, refer things to, and constantly offer support. Collaboration is key between the services and many doctors work together to form a treatment plan. There is no feeling alone even in the middle of the night. “
Additional Salary Information: Ability to make extra money for shifts taken above the contracted number ($750 for ER, $500 for GP).
