Director of Peri-Operative Services & Ambulatory Care The Director of Perioperative Services and Ambulatory Care is part of the hospital clinical services team and assists with the organization, direction , management and evaluation of patient care services for the Ambulatory & Surgical Service areas.
List duties and responsibilities: (including machines to be operated)
•Responsible for the clinical , operational and financial management of the surgical services departments •Develops action plans and reports outcomes to the Chief Operating Officer •Budgetary or fiscal accountability and is responsible 24 hours a day for the ongoing effective operation of units •Supervises surgical staff and also supervise PACU, OR, Central Sterile and Pre-Op/Ambulatory Care •Oversees the unit’s operation to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of care and to maximize patient, physician, and employee satisfaction •Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accrediting agencies •Must have strong knowledge of all aspects of Surgical Services and patient throughput including scheduling, operating room, surgical equipment, ambulatory surgery, endoscopy, pain management, PACU, OR, and central sterile processing, and other areas as applicable. •Performs responsibilities in accordance with hospital goals, objectives, policies and procedures. •Commitment to excellent customer service •Maintain cleanliness of CP exam room and Drs work room •All other related projects and duties as assigned.

List qualifications desired (including education & experience) •Current NYS Veterinary Technician Licensure required, VTS preferred •5 years supervisory/management experience required •3-5 years Veterinary Surgical Nursing Experience •Bachelor’s Degree preferred
