S.A.A.F. Spay & Neuter Clinic is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides high-quality spay, neuter, and wellness services at a low cost. We are seeking a passionate full-time veterinarian to join our team!
Position Summary: Help support our mission and goals by providing quality high-volume spay and neuter surgeries and vaccination services for the general public and rescue/shelter partners.
Schedule Requirements: Our work week is from Tuesday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. No nights, no emergency on-calls, and only the occasional Saturday if a special event is held (no more than 4 a year).
Essential Primary Duties: --Perform high volume spay and neuter surgeries on dogs and cats. --Perform pre-surgical exams on animals to determine if they are healthy enough for spay/neuter and determine appropriate plan of action if they are not approved for surgery. --Able to competently manage complications or emergencies that could arise from spay and neuter surgeries. --Perform general wellness services such as vaccinations and microchip insertions both within the surgical appointment and at separate scheduled Vaccination Clinic events. --Oversee and contribute to clinic medical, surgical, and anesthetic protocols to ensure high standard of care and best practices. --Work with the Executive and Clinic Directors to provide a safe, friendly, and professional environment for clinic staff, rescue partners, and the general public.
Additional Salary Information: Starting salary competitive and dependent upon experience with high-volume spay and neuter capabilities.
