DoveLewis is a non-profit, AAHA-accredited and VECCS Level 1-certified client focused and teaching hospital in NW Portland. Our mission is to provide the best emergency and critical care for companion animals, and to support veterinary professionals and the animal-loving community. DoveLewis is a two-story, 22,000 square foot facility fully equipped for endoscopy, laparoscopy, digital radiography, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT scan, vacuum assisted wound closure, and long-term ventilator support. Our hospital includes specialty support in critical care, cardiology, surgery, internal medicine, and radiology. As a teaching hospital with a stray and wildlife program, we offer unique learning opportunities in addition to a significant (more than 13,000 patients/year) and diverse case load. We are seeking a Veterinarian for our ER and ICU who is motivated to work in a dynamic environment that emphasizes the highest standards in quality medical care. At DoveLewis we value team members with topnotch skills dedicated to continual growth that are aligned with our primary mission – to promote and support the human-animal bond. The Veterinarian directs all medical procedures during scheduled shifts in accordance with AAHA standards, regulatory agencies and company protocols, which facilitates and maximizes patient care, referral veterinarian communication and client service and manages a diverse caseload of emergency and critical care cases. Education and Experience Required Doctor of Veterinary Medicine plus two years of clinical experience in emergency and or critical care hospital. Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training may substitute for the above. An understanding of a client centered practice is critical. As a DoveLewis Veterinarian, you’ll have the opportunity to attend regular on-site CE lectures and our annual CE conference.
