Lake Chatuge Animal Hospital, located in the mountains and lakes region of north Georgia and western North Carolina, is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team!
Lake Chatuge Animal Hospital is proud to serve the four county areas of Towns and Union counties in GA, and Clay and Cherokee counties in NC for everything pet related! If you enjoy the great outdoors surrounded by beauty, this area is for you! Our team is committed to our clients and their pets by providing excellence in service, medical/surgery care and education, and highly skilled and compassionate staff. We also provide 24 hour medical care by our affiliation with the Mountain Emergency Animal Care emergency hospital nearby.
Lake Chatuge Animal Hospital stays on top of the latest advances in veterinary technology and above all, remembers that all animals and pets need to be treated like family - with loving care at every check-up, procedure and surgery.
In two hours from Atlanta, Chattanooga and Knoxville, TN, Asheville, NC or Greenville, SC, you could be in our beautiful community in the northeast Georgia mountains! Our 7,000-acre Lake Chatuge straddles the NC and GA line and offers an abundance of recreational activities like fishing, water skiing, hiking, camping, mountain biking, and boating. The Appalachian Trail and many others come through our county. We also have an active Appalachian arts and crafts community (the John C. Campbell Folk School is nearby), live theater, concerts, and top-notch shopping and dining!
Who we're looking for:
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with a degree from an accredited university, and licensure to practice in GA and/or NC.
You are passionate about what you do, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, friendly environment
We truly care not only about our patients, but deeply care about our clients and strive to educate them. You are someone who also enjoys working with clients, and building upon those relationships.
You're driven to better yourself everyday! Whether it's learning something knew from a team member, attending CE, or educating a client, you like to be on top of your game!
Having an interest in ultrasound imaging, solid surgery skillset, and good diagnostic skills is a plus!!
