Do you love surgery? Or maybe you want an opportunity to learn or perfect new surgical techniques? Are you passionate about working towards ending the euthanasia of healthy shelter animals? The PAWS Clinic may be the perfect opportunity for you. We are looking to add a part-time veterinarian to our busy spay/neuter clinic in Taylor Michigan.
The PAWS Clinic is a non-profit organization whose mission is to reduce animal homelessness and needless euthanasia by providing high-quality, affordable spay/neuter services to our community. We have been open for 6 years, and have performed over 42,000 canine and feline sterilizations. In addition to serving community members with their own animals, The PAWS Clinic partners with several local shelters and rescue groups to ensure that animals in their programs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. We also serve a growing community of feral cat caregivers by offering an extremely affordable package for those engaging in TNR of feral and stray cats.
The PAWS Clinic does not provide wellness services, with the exception of offering vaccines, flea treatments, and deworming at the time of surgery only. We also do not service sick or injured animals. Therefore, our doctors have very limited direct interaction with clients, allowing them to focus just on surgery. And there are no weekends and only occasional evenings involved.
The staff at The PAWS Clinic is friendly, well-trained, and committed to achieving our mission. Our clinic is newly renovated and modern, and we adhere to strict, high-quality protocols to ensure the highest degree of patient safety and facility cleanliness.
Interested? We’d love to talk to you! Please send a resume and cover letter to email@example.com.
State of Michigan Veterinary license required.
Additional Salary Information: Competitive salary. Small allowance provided each year towards your licenses, memberships, or continuing education.
